My mind feels like a washing machine overloaded with clothes on the high spin cycle.
IĀ have beenĀ pondering many things, but can put words to very few of them.
This morning, I awoke with Psalm 46:10 (NIV) swirling in the midst of all the other and it calmed my heart. So, today I offer it to you for our weekly When Words Wonāt Come post.
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Allow me to personalize it a bitā¦..for meā¦.and for you.
Be still and knowā¦..that God is in control and knows the plan.
Be still and knowā¦..that God knows your anxieties.
Be still and knowā¦.that God is never anxious.
Be still and knowā¦that if you seek God, you will find Him.
Be still and knowā¦.that He was not taken by surprise with the diagnosis the doctor gave.
Be still and knowā¦..that the US political system does not cause God one moment of angst.
Be still and knowā¦.that God knows all about your financial trouble
Be still and knowā¦.that God will walk with us into old age.
Be still and knowā¦.that just because things donāt turn out the way you thought they would does not mean all is lost.
Be still and knowā¦that when He wants you to walk in a new direction, you will be the first to know about it.
Be still and knowā¦.that God is trustworthy and faithful.
Be still and knowā¦.that He has your back.
Be still and knowā¦.that He sings over you and delights in youā¦..YES, YOU!!!
Be still and knowā¦..that He has a plan for you.
Be still and knowā¦.that He is enough for whatever you are going through.
Be still and knowā¦that NOTHING is too hard for God.
When we fix our focus on God, we can find peace and calm, and yes, even contentment in the midst of our days. I have and so will you.
MEDITATION MOMENT: What Be Still and Knowā¦..can you add to the list?
