How often do you mess up?
How often today did you mess up?
If you are like me, you will need fingers and maybe even toes to count the times you said or did or thought something that was not high on God’s list of things that please Him.
Impatience, irritability, selfishness, pride….and that was all before 8am.
Do you find that some days are better than others? You might not need that extra hand to count on until, say, after noon. But other days faithfulness just is not happening.
Have you ever wondered if God has the urge to throw up His holy hands and say, “I give up on her. She is such a screw up. Why can’t she get it right?”
I’ve certainly wondered that…and wondered why He has not already done it.
May I give you some good news?
“If we are unfaithful, He [God] remains faithful, for He cannot deny who he is.” (2 Timothy 2: 13) (NLT)
Our faithfulness, or lack thereof, does not change Who God is one iota. He is still the unchanging, faithful God who looked down across the millennia, saw you living out your life, and said, “She’s gonna need me to be faithful, because there will be times she will completely lose her way. That one…..I love her so.”
Because of God’s covenant love for you and me, He keeps His promises to us.
Because of God’s covenant love for you and me, He remains true to Who He is…..
