Today’s quote comes from a marvelous book that I am reading entitled Disciple-Making Teachers: How to Equip Adults for Growth and Action by Josh Hunt and Dr. Larry Mays. This book was given as a Christmas present to each of the Sunday School teachers at FBC Blairsville.
When I got it, my first thought was ‘great, a boring book on how to be a better teacher.’ Then I started reading it while I worked out at the gym. Not a boring book. Great lessons on how to be a teacher whose class does what Sunday school or Bible study or small group is supposed to do–help people fall more in live with Jesus! Awesome material that anyone who leads a group can learn from!
So, today’s quote is from that book and it should encourage us to take a look at the character of our church, which by default means that we should examine our own character. OUCH!!
