I had a thought. I know, it is a scary place between my ears, but occasionally something profound is produced. A few months ago I heard a man who is a shooting instructor tell a group something very important. As I pondered on it, I realized it is true for more than just shooting. It is true when it comes to our faith. So, here is my version of what He said as I believe it applies to every Christian.
“When persecution for our Christian faith comes, we do not rise to the occasion. Rather, we act out of what we already know to be true about Jesus Christ. This is why I am so dogmatic about Bible study. I want to KNOW HIM so that when I face persecution (and I will), I will stand unwaveringly FOR HIM.”
