Okay, so you know that I have nothing deep to say when a post has a title like this one. Right?

There is so much going on this week that I wouldn’t even know where to begin putting a decent post together, so this is what I’ve got to give you today. It’s not much, but such as I have, I give it to you.

Really, doesn’t everyone have golf clubs, a table, and a pillow in their guest bathroom? My house is upside down. We are painting it. Prayers appreciated.

Getting ready to paint.

Getting ready to paint.

I’m in final preparation mode for a speaking event this weekend. As is typical in the days prior to an event, I quit the ministry at least a dozen times. Satan always rams me with the same stuff: ‘you’ve got nothing anyone wants or needs to hear’. Well, dude, maybe I don’t, but apparently, Jesus does, so back off.

I heard a well known speaker say one time that almost every time God gives her the privilege of doing something great in ministry, she can look back and see a major hurt being unleashed on her or some sin being uncovered in her heart in the weeks prior. May I just tell you that based on the past four months in my life, God may very well be getting ready to allow me to do something really great. I don’t know. Maybe it doesn’t always work that way, but whew, I’m about frazzled with all that has happened. So, bring it, God. I’m prayed up, confessed up, and ready.

The Easter chicken dropped by my house. I nearly screamed with delight. I truly hate to use them, but fresh eggs…. YES!! And to think they come out of the chicken like this. Don’t tell me my God isn’t creative!!

“The two most important days in a man’s life are the day he is born, and the day he understands why he was born.” Mark Twain

Do you understand why you were born?

What do you do with a flat of fresh-from-Florida strawberries? Why, you make jam and a cobbler, of course.

“Legends have it, but legacies give it away.” ~ Dennis Swanberg

Oh my! I want to be a legacy.

And finally, a couple of quotes from ladies who have done my latest Bible study, HeBrews: A Better Blend.

“I LOVED the portion on the tabernacle and how Jesus is foreshadowed. It was so deep that I actually split one day’s study into 3 days that week and went slowly to savor it.”

“I just finished the study on Hebrews and I found it wonderful! This is probably the best study that I have completed where the topic was a complete book of the bible. It asked a lot of questions that makes one think further than one might normally be prompted to think. It gave way to valuable sharing experiences of those studying with me. (However, it would also be one that I would have enjoyed doing alone in devotional time.) The references to many other scriptures helps to anchor thoughts, new ideas and gain insight. I would not hesitate to even help a newer believer go through this study, as it does so well on pointing to attributes/characteristics of Christ from beginning to end. I was especially blessed to witness a mother study this with her 16 year old daughter. It was challenging for all of us, but not too difficult for a teen to participate and grasp. A very rich blessing.”
