The following quote came from a daily e-devotional that I receive. It has encouraged me at times when I fail to make God’s choices for my life.
‘A story from John Claypool story describes
a monk who came down from his monastery
high on a mountain top to buy supplies
in the village below.
A villager ran to him, fell to his knees, and asked,
“Exalted father, what do you and your fellow monks
do up there so close to God?”
The monk pulled the man to his feet,
looked into his face, and replied,
“We fall down and we get up.
We fall down and we get up.
We fall down and we get up.”‘
Is that not just a beautiful description of the grace and mercy that God lavishes on you and me?!!
