In America today, the opportunities for advanced education are endless. Anyone can go to college or a trade school and earn a post-high school degree today. Today, as I think about Living Thankful, I am exceedingly grateful for my education.
When I was a child and teen, it was always assumed that I, and my sister, would go to college. We did. Was it always easy? No. Both of us chose challenging fields of study. Has it been worth the work and effort? Without question! I know college is not for everyone and that is OK. College, or the lack thereof, does not make one more acceptable or less. It simply gives a person a bit of a jump start in the world (or at least it did until the great economic crash of recent years).
So, today I am thankful to the Lord and to my parents for making a college education possible.
Are you Living Thankful?
