In today’s post for Living Thankful, I am thankful for Christian music. For many years I listened to secular music: first country music as a teen and then soft rock as a twenty something. There are still many songs and artists I enjoy in popular music. However, I decided many years ago to make Christian music my primary music to which I listen. Why? It encourages me to follow harder after Christ. It fills me with joy and speaks peace into my life in those times when peace is scarce. Christian music often places the very Word of God in my ears.
Please do not hear me saying that you should not listen to secular music. That is not what I am saying. For me, however, I choose to make Christian music my primary source of music. I am so thankful for wonderful Christian music radio stations, satellite stations and Christian musicians who are dedicated to offering godly, anointed music.
La, la, la, la, la. Do, Re, Mi. Living thankful for Christian music!!
I would love for you to visit me over at the Internet Cafe Devotions site where a little something I wrote is the devotion of the day. Do you look like Jesus????
