The Loft is the place for conversation, community, networking, and Christian growth. Each week we provide a topic to start the conversation. Then, Monday night, at 9pm Eastern, the link goes live and all week you can link up your post on that week’s topic.
We’ll have fun topics, serious topics, practical, soul-ful, holiday, and so, so much more…we can’t wait to get started! This is not only a great way to connect with others, it’s also a fun and easy way to establish a writing habit. If you aren’t a blogger, you are welcome to join in by leaving your comments in the comment section.
Listening is a lost art. Especially in the blogosphere where everyone wants to be heard. At The Loft, we know that listening is rewarding and rich… surprisingly so. So grab your coffee mug and come on up. Hang out for a bit. We betcha you’ll be glad you did.

Now it’s time to link up! Today is our FIRST EVER link-up! We want to get to know each other and begin making relationships, thus this week’s topic is ‘I Am……’. Here’s my ‘I Am’ introduction:
I Am……. Leah
I Am……
…..a Jesus-lovin’ girl from the mountains of North Georgia.
……recovering from turning 50, and finding that it wasn’t so bad after all.
…..married to my dentist…a man of character, perseverance, faithfulness, and a funny wit.
….. called ‘Mom’ by two adult children…neither of which came from my body, but both of whom reside in my heart.
…..a speaker, an author, a daughter, a pharmacist, and a lover of books.
…..sometimes full of fear at the thought of trying new things. I am a perfectionist, control freak that way.
…..the ‘prodigal’ who knew Jesus, walked away, then was drawn back by His faithful love.
…..a small group Bible study leader and mentor to young women.
…..passionate about the power of the Word of God to change lives and hearts.
…..learning to navigate the dementia of a loved one, while mourning the loss of her ‘normal’.
…..one who walked the path of anorexia in my earlier years. I might still struggle with seeing myself as ‘fat’ occasionally.
…..crazy about bread and dessert. (perhaps this has something to do with the previous ‘I am…’. Just sayin’!
…..full of memories of my grandparents’ wood stove, feather beds, Lawrence Welk television program, and Vicks’ Vapor Rub smeared beneath my nose when I couldn’t breath.
…..adamant that every cook needs more cast iron skillets than they can count on one hand.
…..the tool that God used to write two Bible studies and one devotion book. Still can’t believe He did.
…..a woman who often feels like she is NOT ENOUGH, but knows that IN CHRIST she is MORE THAN ENOUGH.
