Hey ya’ll,
My keyboard has been kinda silent of late. It is not because I am tired of posting, but rather because i am a B-U-S-Y girl.
Last weekend I had the huge honor of speaking to the ladies of Ecclesia Church in Newnan, Georgia at their Ladies retreat. The retreat was held at beautiful Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Let me just say that I was the one who received a gianormous blessing. These beautiful young women have serious hearts for the Lord and his people. They reminded me that the New Testament church does still exist and is thriving. I offered them two messages on Friday. The first was my Covenant message and it sparked a lot of thoughtful discussion among the ladies. That evening we talked about the Legacy each of us is leaving for those who come behind us. Again, more wonderful discussion. Yes, let me say it again. I WAS BLESSED by these ladies in so many ways. Their sweet, inviting spirits and the FOOD. Oh my word, the food was so good. The retreat coordinator, Mallie, has the spiritual gift of hospitality and she fed us like we were starving children. Yummy food! It was a precious time and I was so humbled to have been chosen to speak the Word to them.
I am in the throes of writing another Bible study. This one is on the book of Hebrews. HEBREWS! What in the world is the Lord thinking turning a red-neck like me loose with the book of Hebrews? Thankfully, all I have to do is type. HE is writing the study. It is a daunting task, let me tell you. Hebrews is not a ‘see spot run’ kinda book. It is deep, with lots of theological quandries. Mercy, I can barely spell ‘theo-log-i-cal’! Anyway, I’d so appreciate your prayers for that endeavor.
On Saturday, November 5th, my ministry partner, Kristin and I will be serving the ladies of Westminster Baptist Church in Westminster, South Carolina. We are both very excited. We love serving the Lord and His girls. We especially love when we get to serve TOGETHER. Kristin is the MOST AMAZING worship leader and I am blessed every time she sings and leads worship. If you live in the Westminster area, IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO REGISTER. Hop to it and call the church to register. I’d love to see you there.
Do you realize it is now less than 2 months till CHRISTMAS?? What in the world happened to 2011? Aaarrrgggghhh!! Oops, sorry, just had to get that out of my system.
