On Mondays all through 2014 we are collecting Scriptures that will help us walk in a more intimate relationship with Jesus. Like precious jewels these Heart Notes verses sparkle, and remind us of the inestimable value of the Word of God. Today’s verse is one that most of us could benefit from pasting on our foreheads or the back of our hands. It is a verse that speaks power and comfort, all at the same time. Check it out.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 (ESV)
If God is for us…..and He is, if we have asked Jesus to be our Savior.
If God is for us, who can be against us? Who in the world is big enough, or strong enough, or mean enough to overcome our God?
NO ONE!
God is bigger.
God is stronger.
God is able.
How does that hit you? What circumstance in your life rages against your heart, and your faith? Right now, I encourage you to name that big meanie. Call it out.
Wayward child
Wandering spouse
Choking Debt
Cancer or other life-threatening disease
Unexpected pregnancy
Job difficulties
Bondage to an addiction
Crying toddler
Aging parent
That’s it. Name it. Say it out loud.
Now, say, “If God is for me, who can be against me? No ____________________________ is bigger than God.”
Take God at His Word. Use the power you have in the name of Jesus to call heaven and earth to confront your circumstance, and give you victory in the situation.
God is able and no power on earth can come against Him. Walk in victory, dear friend.
