Do you ever wonder if your salvation is secure? Today’s Heart Notes verse speaks to this. Join me.

When the word ‘gospel’ is spoken, what comes to your mind? If you are like me, you think of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the books of the Bible where the gospel of Jesus Christ, the way to salvation, is outlined. But really, the gospel is proclaimed through out the Bible. From Genesis through Revelation, the Word teaches the gospel. Nowhere is it found more succinctly than in today’s Heart Notes verse.

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Hebrews 7:25 (NIV)

Please consider this verse from The Amplified Bible:

Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.

Do you see the gospel in the verse?

Jesus (He) makes a perfect and complete way to be saved because He lived, died, and now lives again. He sits at the right hand of God, talking to God about you and me; pleading His blood over our sin. His salvation is more than enough, making a way for all time and eternity for anyone who comes to God through Jesus. Because He now lives, so shall we. No one can ever snatch us out of the hand of God because the salvation Jesus bought for us is complete.

You think God has forgotten about you? Think again, friend. Jesus is sitting right there next to God, speaking to Him on your behalf. You are loved. You are secure. You are His.
