Welcome!!! It’s Friday and I’m counting my blessings. I invite you to join me.
{#98} – Bible Study – On Thursday evening last week, I had the privilege of speaking to the student-led Bible study group at Young Harris College. It was a stormy, wet evening, but at least 40 students sat in the beautiful Susan B. Harris Chapel at YHC and attentively listened to what the Lord gave me to offer to them. We talked about Staying on Task in an ADHD World. What a privilege for me to speak into their lives!! This message was my Wednesday post this week in case you missed it.
{#99} – Stretching My Brain – We have a new computer system at the pharmacy where I work. The previous system we had was archaic (can you say, DOS based??), but we were all comfortable with it. The new system is modern and state of the art and is stretching all of us as we learn the ins-and-outs of it. In the end the new system will be a great addition to the pharmacy, but right now we are all s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g our brain capacity to learn it. It really is a good thing.
{#100} – Masters Week – I am NOT an athlete. Nor am I a golfer. I probably could not hit a golf ball if my life depended on it. However, I enjoy watching golf a great deal. This past weekend, the premier event in golf was televised. The Masters. A beautiful course. World class golfers. I love watching. One day I hope to attend a round at The Masters.
{#101} – Sunday lunch – Once again, Greg and I were blessed to have a beautiful group of young women around our table. Breakfast for lunch had been the requested menu. Bree and three of her friends ate with us. Bree made biscuits, while Greg cooked sausage, bacon, eggs, and gravy. I simply sat back and enjoyed everything. What a sweet group of young ladies! What a privilege for us!
{#102} – Crock-pot creamed spinach. Yum!!
{#103} – Word that another local group of ladies will be doing my Legacy study this spring. Thank you, Jesus. May it speak into their lives in huge ways!!
{#104} – Devotional booklets by Brooke – My sweet friend, Brooke, wrote the material for two awesome devo booklets. One is targeted to women in general, while the other is specifically for young women (teens and twenty-somethings). Both are crazy good. I bought lots of each to give away to special women in my life. I encourage you to do the same. Here’s the link where you can buy them.
{#105} – First hummingbird of the season – JOY!!! On Tuesday evening, I saw the first hummer of the year drinking from my feeder. They truly are an amazing part of God’s creation.
{#106} – A sweet note of thanks in my mailbox – Thank you notes are becoming a lost art, I fear. My mother taught my sister and me to always write a thank you note when someone does something nice for you.
{#107} – Dogwood blooms – pink and white
{#108} – Spending the day with my man
{#109} – Lunch at Cheesecake Factory – We adore the Luau Salad at the Cheesecake Factory and eat it every chance we get. In truth, what we really go for is the Strawberry SHORTCAKE. We eat the Luau Salad in order to GET TO the Strawberry Shortcake!!
{#110} – New lipstick – I have been on a search to replace my discontinued lipstick color. I bought one while Greg and I were in Atlanta on Wednesday that might be a keeper. The jury is still out, but deliberating.
{#111} – Rain watering my vegetable garden. Thank you, Lord!
What blessings are you counting today?
