This week my meditation Psalm is Psalm 130. The Word has fallen on me in a fresh and wonderful way as I have spent time in this short chapter. Two verses in particular have been reminders to me of El Shaddai’s awesomeness. Read them with me and ask Holy Spirit to give you a fresh awareness of the hugeness of these two verses.

Psalm 130: 3-4

If you, O LORD, kept a record of sins,

O Lord, who could stand?

But with you there is forgiveness;

therefore you are feared.

Only our El Shaddai, our El Elyon, our Jehovah Nissi, our loving Father can do this. No human is able to cease keeping a record of other people’s sins against them. Our brains simply do not work that way.

God, however, does not keep a record of my sin, your sin. There is no list of all my sins that He will read off when I get to heaven. My many sins—and they are many–are forgotten by God as soon as I confess them. Never to be brought up again!!

Dear friends, I don’t know how that hits you today, but for me, there is incredible freedom and peace in knowing that.

Have a blessed weekend and thank you for visiting me at The Point.
