Once again, I am linking up with Kate Motaung for Five Minute Friday….a writing prompt where we write for five minutes on a common word. No editing, no overthinking. Just writing for five minutes. Today’s word prompt is:
DARE
Go!
Every day….in a thousand different ways, God dares me to believe Him. Not to believe in Him. He knows I do. I did when I was 15 years old.
He dares me to believe Him. He dares me to allow Him to challenge and grow my faith in Him.
Faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1)
Â
Do you see it there? God is saying I dare you to believe me. Believe me for.
….your marriage
….your health as you grow older
…..your Mother’s wellbeing as dementia quickly takes who she has been
….your finances in a bad economy
….your ministry
….your relationships
….your anxieties (a biggie for me)
Â
I dare you, Leah, to believe me.
Â
And, as I choose to believe Him, and trust Him, and walk with Him, He proves Himself abundantly faithful to…
Â
….grow my love for my husband stronger
….give me good health and strength
….surround Mother with love, and prepare her heart for each new part of her journey
….provide for us through the economic downturn of the past few years
….bring ministry opportunities that I never could have imagined…traditional publishing of HeBrews
….allow me to speak into the lives of young women in one-on-one relationships
….use His Word and His presence to speak peace to my anxious heart
…and so, so much more.
Â
Sometimes, He even double-dog dares me to believe Him. And every time, I find Him faithful.
Â
Do you believe Him when He dares you? I double-dog dare you to believe Him!
