Forgiveness is often a very difficult obedience. We feel as if we deserve to hold a grudge for what that person did to us or to our family. It is especially hard when the offender does not apologize, isn’t it? Yet, Jesus expects us to offer forgiveness anyway.

Jesus offered us forgiveness for the hideous sins we perpetrated against Him. AND He did it long before we ever asked Him to forgive us. How prideful of us to be unwilling to forgive another in view of the forgiveness that Jesus has offered to us.

Are you leaving a legacy of forgiveness toward others?

“Forgiveness is surrendering my right to hurt you for hurting me.”
