Shalom ya’ll,

Ma Nishma (How are you?)

In about 24 hours I will be boarding a plane to Israel…the land where Jesus lived and walked AND the land to which He will return. Here is one of the sights that I will see:

The Garden Tomb where Jesus was buried and from which He rose. Praise You, Lord!! (This picture is from my trip to Israel in 2006).

Yes, I am excited to be back in the land, walking where Jesus walked and seeing so many places that the Bible talks about. I would ask you to pray for our group (approx 25 from our town and church) about a few things:

  • Good health
  • Safe travel
  • Strength and rest on the flights (long flights – abt. 12 – 13 hours each way) and in Israel
  • Our families back home in the US (my man will be holding the fort down here at home)
  • That we would be salt and light in a place that desperately needs to know Jesus. This is a pleasure trip, but as Christians, we are always to be His witnesses
  • That our luggage will arrive when we do
  • That we will live in the moment; experiencing and learning all the things that God has for us in that land

I will be posting pictures and ponderings when I return, but will have limited internet access while in the Land. So, if you leave a comment here and you don’t see it appear immediately, don’t lose heart. My friend, Cindy will be moderating my comments while I am away, but I don’t want to work her to death.

Ok, now to Challenge 2010 and our 21st verse.  Here is mine:

Psalm 139: 31 (NIV)
Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD,
and abhor those who rise up against you?
I pray that you have a blessed couple of weeks.

Tzeteh’ Leshalom VeShuveh’ Leshalom (if directed to a woman this means go in peace and return in peace)
