I am beyond excited that so many of you are joining us for Challenge 2010!! As my friend, Robert, says, “I just want to do the happy dance”. Hiding God’s Word in our hearts is always a reason to celebrate and I believe that God is smiling on each of us. We are never more like Jesus than when we are knowing, really knowing what the Father has to say to us through His Word.
Before I give you my verse for the week, I want to tell you about a new friend I have made. Her name is Julie and she is the founder of Scripture Stickies. Scripture Stickies are ‘stickable (6 in. x 2 in.) Bible verses designed to help you memorize, meditate, encourage and evangelize the Word of God.’ Hmm, now isn’t that just a God thang!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was so excited to find Julie and Scripture Stickies because this is exactly the way that I memorize my verses. I print them out and stick them in key locations in my home and car so that I can read them when I put on my makeup, work at the computer, work in the kitchen or drive. Scripture Stickies come in packs of 10: 2 copies each of 5 verses. Julie has created packs that have focused Scriptures. For instance, I purchased several packs that contain scriptures that help us trust in the Lord. There are also packs featuring verses focused on hope, love, peace, waiting patiently and so much else. There are even packs to help KIDS memorize scripture!!
Please click over and visit Scripture Stickies and see all that they offer. In fact, Julie is offering a discount to anyone who purchases Scripture Stickies and uses a coupon she created especially for those of you from The Point. Anyone who enters POINT as a coupon code at checkout on http://www.scripturestickies.com/ will save 20% on their entire order!! WOW!! Thanks, Julie.
Julie has been kind enough to do custom Scripture Stickies for me with The Point Ministries name on the label and I will be offering these for sale at any events where I speak and teach. Again, thanks Julie for partnering with me in Challenge 2010.
Ok, now for my Challenge 2010 – Verse 2. Have you ever felt forgotten or alone? Have you ever felt like no one cares? I think we have all been there at one time or another. Well, Psalm 139: 2 speaks into my heart to remind me that God knows and God cares. So here is my 2nd Challenge 2010 verse:
Psalm 139: 2 (NIV) – You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
Now it is your turn. Post your verse as a comment. Please remember to give us the complete verse, the reference, what translation of the Bible it is from, your name and your location. Also, I have to work today and will not have a lot of time to moderate comments while at work, so it may be evening before all the comments and verses show up. Please be patient and don’t give up.
Keep up the good work, friends.
