If you have hung around LeahAdams.org for the past several months you are familiar with Tasting Grace. In case you are new here, let me tell you about THE. MOST. FUN. THING. I have ever done in ministry.

Tasting Grace is a concept that I borrowed from my sweet friend, Jan Morton. It is a mentoring-in-the-kitchen ministry that I host in my home once a quarter. Actually, as the word has spread about TG, it has become once a month rather than once a quarter. Rather than me typing out all the fun details of TG, I’m going to send those of you who want to know what it is all about over to the Tasting Grace page on my website. Click HERE.

In January and February I hosted the first and second winter sessions of Tasting Grace. Each group of ladies who attend TG is unique and beautiful. I am especially blessed by the Moms who bring their daughters to TG, and the winters sessions each had a mother/daughter pair included. By the way, TG would be a wonderful Mother/Daughter event should you wish to host one in your home!!

The menu for the winter sessions has been chicken and dumplings and cream cheese pound cake. TG sessions are usually 2 hours, but this menu requires a bit more time because the pound cake must bake for an hour and a half.

We had ladies that had never eaten honest to goodness chicken and dumplings. We also had ladies who had never used a sifter. In one of the groups the ladies seemed to have a fair amount of cooking experience, so I asked them if they wanted me to skip over the basics, such as bringing baking ingredients to room temperature before using. All of them emphatically said, “No, please do not skip the basics. We always learn something new from you.”

I have one more group in March which will complete the Winter Sessions of Tasting Grace. Last night I had the privilege of doing a biscuit making session with the incredible moms at one of our local MOPs groups. Because I am writing this on Thursday morning, I do not yet have any pictures from the MOPs session.

I am super excited to share some of the pictures from the January and February Tasting Grace sessions. If you are interested in attending a Tasting Grace session, or in hosting a Tasting Grace event in your home or church, please contact me via THIS LINK for more information. I will be posting dates and menus on the Tasting Grace page of my website for the Spring Tasting Grace sessions in mid-March, so stay tuned.

Ok, here are the pictures!

I am excited to announce that I, along with my friend and mentor, Jan Morton, have signed a contract with Warner Press Publishers to write a book about Tasting Grace. It will be a combination Bible study and event planning guide that will help ladies plan and host a Tasting Grace session in their own home or church AND give them a four week Bible study  that looks at the topic of mentoring. The book will be available Summer 2016. Stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks.
