I’ve had the privilege of traveling to Israel….twice.
I was there in 2006 and again in 2010.
It is an AMAZING trip.
I walked the land where Jesus walked:
Nazareth: His birthplace
Capernaum
Sea of Galilee
Mount of Olives
Garden of Gethsemanee
Steps leading to Caiaphas’ house where He was tried
Golgotha
The Garden Tomb
I went into the tomb where the precious, battered, bleeding body of my Jesus was laid on a cold stone slab. He had been tortured, beaten and crucified. He was unrecognizable because of the torture.
All the sins of every person who would ever call on His name had been heaped upon Him and He took the punishment for each one of them.

pride
adultery
murder
lying
coveting
stealing
gossip
sexual sin
idol worship
disobedience
Whatever the sin, He took the punishment.
He took MY punishment so that I would not have to.
Then, they buried Him.
It was finished.
His life was over…..or so they thought.
Three days later……………………………

The Tomb was EMPTY!!

He defeated death, and in doing so, provided forgiveness of sin, a way of escape from eternal death. His selfless act gave us the opportunity to live forever in heaven with HIM.

Inside the Garden Tomb where Jesus’ body was laid

I saw the tomb…..It is empty.

PRAISE GOD!!!
