NEW WORD WEDNESDAY

It is not often that I will have the opportunity to use New Word Wednesday to teach something spiritual, so when I do, I will jump at the opportunity. Such is the case today. Our new word today is one that is used in home decor circles and magazines in abundance. It seems harmless enough on the surface. However, I hope to prove that it is something that we, as Christians, need to avoid.

FENG SHUI: fen shwa – a Chinese geomantic practice in which a structure or site is chosen or configured so as to harmonize with the spiritual forces that inhabit it; orientation, placement, or arrangement according to the precepts of feng shui.

USAGE: The decorator asked if I would like to use feng shui principles in decorating my home so as to create energy, fun and harmony.
Friends, the way to create harmony in our home is not through furniture and accessory placement,
but by having Jesus as the center of our homes.
Right?
