On May 22nd I began 40 Days of HeBrews. Each day leading up to the July 1st launch of my new Bible study, I am posting snippets from the Bible study on the Facebook page. It could be quotes, Bible verses, or dessert recipes. (Yes, there are dessert recipes in the Bible study! You’re welcome.)
About once a week, I am going to post the snippets from the Facebook page right here at The Point, so those of you who are not on Facebook can get a taste of what is to come when the study launches July 1st. If you are on Facebook, and have not gone by the HeBrews: A Better Blend page and liked it yet, please do.
So, here are more of the HeBrews snippets I have posted. I hope it whets your appetite for more of HeBrews: A Better Blend.
- Day 13 ~ “….Jesus is the Mediator of a new and better Covenant directed at those who are willing to accept Him as Lord and Savior. There is as much difference in the Old and New Covenants as there is in stone and flesh.”
- Day 14 ~ “In our culture today we do not fully understand the word ‘covenant’. We understand ‘contract’, but covenant is very different.”
- Day 15 ~ “God always acts out of love toward His children.”
- Day 16 ~ “Why can’t we get it through our heads that God’s commands are for our good? Just as a parent knows what is best for her child, God knows what is best for us. He desires to bless us, yet because He is a just God, He will not bless our disobedience. He CANNOT bless our disobedience.”
- Day 17 ~ “You, my friend, will never be good enough to obtain right standing before God. Neither will I. It is only when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Best Friend that we are given right standing before God.”
- Day 18 ~ “The time is coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with house of Israel and with the house of Judah.” Jeremiah 31:31 (NIV 1984)
- Day 19 ~ “The Jewish people still do not understand that Jesus is the Messiah for whom they long and look. They mourn the destruction of the Temple and the ceasing of the daily sacrifice. My heart breaks for their blindness to the true and living sacrifice, Jesus Christ. Please join me in praying for the hearts of the Jewish people to be opened to the truth of the gospel.”
- Day 20 ~ “”I am crazy about coconut and will eat it in almost anything. I’ve never met a coconut dessert I did not like, so there was no way I was leaving this recipe out of this Bible study.” Coconut Cheesecake Pie. Yummmm, but you will have to buy the Bible study when it comes out to get the recipe, OR come to one of my book signings where I plan to have samples of the dessert recipes contained in the Bible study. If you are interested in hosting a book signing for HeBrews in your town or church, let me know.
- Day 21 ~ “There are many topics in the Bible that intrigue me, but few draw me in more than the wilderness tabernacle. It was not until I studied the Old Testament tabernacle in-depth that I truly understood the beauty and significance of it. Little did I know that every part of the tabernacle pointed like a signpost to our Savior, Jesus Christ.”
- Day 22 ~ “After God created man, there was perfect fellowship between them. Once man chose disobedience toward God, that perfect fellowship was broken….. But God had a plan to be the restoration of fellowship between Him and His creation.”
Hope you enjoyed these snippets. More to come next week!
