Friday is my day for counting my blessings and I love to do it with you. Here is my offering for today.
{#293} – Thanksgiving – On Thanksgiving Day we had 14 people around our table. My mother, my sister and her family, my in-laws, Greg’s sister, her family and her father-in-law, my nephew’s girlfriend, and Greg and me. It was a sweet time of fellowship and joy.
{#294} – It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas – On Black Friday, I put up our Christmas tree. I’m not a fan of shopping, and I am definitely not a fan of fighting the crowds, so while Greg went off to play golf, I put up our Christmas tree.
{#295} – Encouragement – I went into a local business last week and saw a sweet lady who encouraged me so much in my ministry. Thank you, Pat. Bless you.
{#296} – Electric Blanket
{#297} – SHORT Visit with Charlie – Charlie was with us for about 36 hours last week. He flew in from Oklahoma, where he is in college. It was good to see him, even for a short visit. He will be back at Christmas and we are excited about spending time with him then.
{#298} – Fire in our New Fire pit – The fire pit is our Christmas gift to each other. I LOVE a campfire and am eager to use this A LOT. Y’all are all invited over to sit around the fire.
{#300} – Smell of Pound Cake Baking in my Oven
{#301} – A New Book to Read
{#302} – My Favorite Christmas Songs on the Radio – O Holy Night, Silent Night, Frosty the Snowman (yes, I love that song), Joy to the World.
{#303} – A Different Kind of Christmas – The adults in our family do not exchange Christmas gifts, so each year I choose a charity and make donations in honor of family members. This year I chose to make donations to Wellspring Living (http://wellspringliving.org/). I love Christmas gifts with purpose.
{#304} – A Beautiful Sky
{#305} – Knowing that I don’t have all the answers, but Jesus does
