{#160} – Living in a free country – The freedom we enjoy in America was bought and paid for with the blood of the brave men and women of our military down through the decades. Thank you!
{#161} – Long holiday weekend – We spent the weekend resting and relaxing at a campground in Hiawassee, Georgia. It was so nice.
{#162} – Answered prayer for a friend – My sweet young friend, Jenna, had been waiting 3 months to hear the results of her bar exam. As of last Friday afternoon, she is a Georgia bar certified attorney. Praise God! She worked so hard and will be a great attorney. I told her I’m sure God was tired of hearing me call her name before the throne. I spent much time in prayer for this precious young woman over the past months and years.
{#163} – Shared meals – When we camp with a large group, we each contribute a portion of the meals. On Saturday morning, I made homemade biscuits. Saturday evening we were responsible for the dessert and Greg made a dutch oven strawberry cobbler. Sunday morning found me making pancakes and Sunday evening my contribution was a layered Mexican salad. We always have so much great food when we camp that I come home a few pounds heavier!!
{#164} – Shopping – A short shopping trip with my sister yielded a new maxi dress and a cute top for me. The store was having a 20% off sale so we did pretty well. When I got home I realized the new top matched a pair of ankle pants that I already owned perfectly. Yay!
{#165} – Meeting Keta – My friends, Steve and Patti Clark, have a working farm (Cupid Falls Farms) where they have a myriad of animals……alpacas, llamas, sheep, goats, rabbits, and dogs. They also make and sell the most deeee-vine soaps. On Saturday I took Bree, my nephew, his friend, and his friend’s little sister over to meet the newest baby alpaca, Keta. We had such a great time visiting with all the animals and feeding Keta. Thank you, Patti and Steve, for letting us stop by.
{#166} – Azaleas – My in-laws have some spectacular azaleas in their yard. Here are a few samples.
{#167} – 2-For Sale on Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream
{#168} – Wall of Crosses – I love my wall of crosses. It is a vivid reminder smack in the middle of my living room of the centrality of the cross and the sacrifice Jesus made for ME. For Me! For YOU!! It’s just all about Jesus.
{#169} – Lush landscape – Here in north Georgia we have had a gracious plenty of rain and everything is lush and green. It is such a beautiful reminder of the importance of the rain sent by the Lord to water the earth. Thank you, Lord!!
{#170} – Donating to the Local Food Pantry – Greg and I are blessed that we can purchase extra groceries and make donations to the Union County Food Pantry. Thank you, God, for blessing us abundantly with food and provisions and for allowing us to bless others.
What blessings are you counting today? I’d love to hear about them!
