{#60} – Beautiful spring days

{#61} – Raised Beds prepped for planting  – We have 4 raised beds that have been wonderful producers of fresh vegetables for the past two years. Saturday was such a gorgeous day that I decided it was a good time to prepare the beds for planting. Here are the before and after pics. Can’t wait to put lettuce, broccoli and carrots in those beds in just a couple of weeks.

{#62} – Sweet family – On Friday night last week, Greg’s cousin, Kathy, and her husband, Jerry, spent the night with us. Their oldest son, Joshua, plays baseball for the University of Mobile and they were playing Truett McConnell College in Cleveland, Georgia, which is only a hop, skip and jump from us. It was so good to see them and visit for a bit.

{#63} – Encouraging words – While we were eating breakfast with Greg’s family at a local restaurant on Saturday morning, a pastor’s wife stopped by our table and shared that their ladies Bible study group had just finished the Legacy study. She said they were so blessed by it and instead of the usual dropouts at about week 3 that most Bible study groups experience, theirs kept growing right up to the end of the study. Praise Jesus!!! Her words encouraged my heart so much. Thank you, Lord, for using what you gave me to touch others. Praise YOU!!!

{#64} – Commentaries on Revelation  – I LOVE to read!! This week while we are in Atlanta for Greg’s annual dental conference, I plan to read parts of three different commentaries in my study time for our Tuesday Bible study Vital Signs: Lessons from the Seven Churches of the Revelation.

{#65} – Sunday lunch with friends – On Sunday, Bree and two of her basketball teammates attended church with us. After church we had the pleasure of having lunch with the three of them, as well as with our dear friends, Robert and Cindy.

{#66} – Blessed time in the Word – Tuesday morning found my Bible study pals and me digging into Revelation 1. Much of our time was spent on background items such as the dating of the book, various interpretations, the author and the atmosphere in the world around the time the book was written. We also took time to gaze at Jesus; the One who is, who was, and Who is to come. Next Tuesday will find us examining the first of the seven churches, the church at Ephesus to learn what Jesus has to teach us in 2013. I’m calling the church at Ephesus ‘the church that lost that lovin’ feeling.’

{#67} – Uninterrupted writing time.

{#68} – Lessons from the church at Ephesus – Neglecting my first love will cause a forgetting of that first love. This is true for our love relationship with Jesus and with  our earthly spouses. Remember! Repent! Return!

{#69} – A good book – The problem with me having a really good book to read is that I get little else done. Right now I am reading Joel Rosenberg’s latest fictional offering entitled Damascus Countdown, the third in The Twelfth Imam series. Sweet mercy! It is a Christian political thriller ripped from front page of today’s newspaper and it is so good. As my grandmother would have said, “I’m gonna lose a crop” reading this book.

{#70} – Easter candy – Ok, this might not be considered a blessing to some, but Easter is the only time one can purchase Cadbury Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Eggs. Friends, these little jewels are to die for, even for a non-chocoholic like me. Mmm, mmmmm!!

{#71} – Conviction from the Word – “Love is patient and kind.” Need I say more??? I’ve got some serious work to do, especially in regard to family relationships. I am so thankful for the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
