Hello friends,
It has taken the better part of eight months, but we have caught up to the point where I am in the writing of the Hebrews study. All the posts that have been offered up to now have been material from the Hebrews study that I had already written. Now, we come to a place where I have not written the material yet. So, as much as I would like to promise that I could write enough material to make certain I had a post each week, I am hesitant to make that promise.
Allow me to give you some insight in the writing of the study and why I am not committing to a weekly post from this point forward. We have been looking at Hebrews in a chapter by chapter fashion. The HeBrews Bible study is not being written in that same way. Rather, the study is being written in a more topical fashion, hence, I may use material from several different chapters in a single day or week of study. Thus far, I have four chapters of the study written, small excerpts of which you have seen on Mondays. The chapters of the study examine the BETTER name of Jesus. He is the BETTER priest, administering a BETTER covenant, in a BETTER tabernacle. My plan is for three additional chapters, which will make it a seven week study.
Where does that leave us with our Monday HeBrews posts? I will post material as I write it, hopefully offering two posts per month. Thank you for your patience and your interest in the Hebrews study. Hebrews is a marvelously, complex book and I feel hugely inadequate to write a Bible study from it. I would be grateful for your prayers for me as I continuing writing the study.
