On Wednesday of this week, I had the amazing privilege of speaking at “A Woman Inspired” online conference. The theme of the event was “Ministry: Online” and I had been asked to speak about the “emotional, spiritual, and estrogen-laden issues” associated with ministry. The attendees called in or logged in from all over the world and it was a wonderful time of learning and fellowship.
For me to be invited to speak was so very much orchestrated by God. Prior to receiving the email from Amy B. asking me to speak, I did not even know the conference existed. Amy was operating out of pure faith and obedience in asking me to speak, for she had never heard me speak. Without a doubt, the Lord had a reason for placing me at this event.
As I prepared my message, I prayed like mad that the Lord would give me the words that He knew the hearts who would be attending would need to hear. This is an unceasing prayer when I am preparing messages. I have no idea who will be at an event when I speak, nor do I know what their heart needs to hear, but our Lord does. The other thing that I wrestled out with the Lord was how to make certain the message did not sound like I was all hung up on me–I am really nothing to brag about outside of what Jesus has done in my life. Because of the topic I had been asked to speak on, I would need to use lots of examples from my own personal experiences, so humility was something that needed to be prominent in the message.
As I listened to the other speakers over the course of the event, I learned SOOOO much about doing online ministry. I got so many tips for this ministry and will be implementing them over the course of the coming weeks. I ‘met’ other ladies who are striving to do ministry God’s way and for God’s glory. I was encouraged and blessed abundantly.
Truly, I am amazed and humbled that the Lord would allow me to be part of something so incredibly wonderful. Check out the A Women Inspired Conference website for upcoming conference dates and themes. I promise you will be blessed by attending.
Father, thank you for giving me the privilege of serving ladies. I am humbled that you would use someone like me to minister in your kingdom. Bless the ladies who organized this event and also those who attended. Help us to seek your path for our ministries and our lives and to stay faithful to the last word we heard from You.
You are so incredible, Lord, and You are my very best friend! Help me to walk boldly in this calling you have placed on my life. I long to be obedient to whatever You ask. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
