Are you being intentional about Living  Thankful? I hope so. I heard a quote recently that went something like this: What if we were only given tomorrow the things we were thankful for today? Pretty sobering, huh? I fear most of us would be lacking a lot of the blessings we currently enjoy if that were the case.

As I think about Living Thankful today, I am not only thankful, but extremely humbled that God allowed me to be the instrument through which He wrote the Legacy Bible study, From the Trash Pile to the Treasure Chest: Creating A Godly Legacy. Yes, He wrote it, I just did the typing.

Over the past week, I have received several blessings relating to the study. First, the study garnered an incredible review on the MoreToBe.com website. I was so humbled as I read the review and then saw that the MoreToBe team wants to lead the study online beginning in January. Yippee!!!  Praise Jesus!! One of my prayers regarding the study is that it would impact the lives of young women, especially. I would love to know the study made a difference in the choices young women make.

Another blessing was offered to me at church this week. A older lady who is currently doing the study on Tuesday nights at our church told me that when she first looked through the study she thought, “this doesn’t really pertain to me”. She said, “But then I started actually doing the study and it DOES pertain to me because I am older. It pertains to women of all ages.” Yes, it does, my friend. We are all leaving a legacy….no matter our age.

Finally, I heard from a precious woman who is walking through the valley of the shadow of death, literally, with her teenage son. She told me that when she read my testimony in week 6 it gave her hope that God had not let go of her son. No, precious friend, God has not let go of that boy, no matter how he is running from God. When you and I are faithless, God is still faithful according to 2 Timothy.

When I first published the study I kept thinking, “if it impacts just one life, all the work and money spent will be worth it.” How silly I was to limit God like that!

Thank you, Lord, for what you are doing through the Legacy study. Thank you for allowing me to go along for the ride!
