Are you Living Thankful? I don’t mean just being thankful on Thanksgiving or during the month of November, but are you really Living a Thankful life? So often in the Scriptures we are urged to pray with thanksgiving. I fear all too often we utter a quick “thank you, Lord, for my blessings” and off we go to our list of wants and needs. I know I am certainly guilty. Can I get a witness? Anybody?
In the past few days my big, strong man has not been feeling well. I won’t go into details but suffice it to say, it is not an innocuous problem. It has the potential to be major. This leads me to my thing for which I am Living Thankful.
I am thankful for access to excellent medical care. Although we live in a small, rural town, we have access to top quality medical professionals and facilities. when I was a child growing up in this town, we had to drive about 55 miles to get any sort of specialized care. Not so today. We have many specialists who see patients in our town, as well as a top quality cancer center that is fully staffed. Many of our local physicians, dentists, PAs and nurse practitioners are committed Christians who seek to share Christ as they practice medicine.
I am thankful for the medical and dental professionals in our community.
