For the first part of the week we focused on Bible studies and what ya’ll are doing in your small groups. I loved hearing about what the Lord is doing in your lives through the study of His Word.
Now, I want us to talk about which of the names of God speaks most deeply to you and why. This is such a great way to encourage one another. I’ll go first.
El-Shaddai is one of my favorite names of God. All Sufficient One. There is not a need that I have that He is not sufficient to meet.
- When I am tired, He provides rest.
- When I am afraid, He takes me by my right hand and says, “Do not fear, I am with you.”
- When I am thirsty for Him, He gives me Living Water.
- When I am lost and wandering, His Word provides direction.
- When I am anxious, He is my peace.
- When I am happy, He celebrates with me.
- When I seek His will, He willingly shows me His way.
- When I ask for wisdom, He gives liberally.
- When I needed salvation, He provided abundantly.
- When I am down, He is the lifter of my head.
- When I am in a battle, He is my shield.
- When I have sinned, He provides forgiveness and restoration.
El Shaddai – the All Sufficient One.
